Executive Management:


 
Igor Klimanov - Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Klimanov currently holds the position of Manager of Strategy and Corporate Development at Severstal-Gold. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of High River in October 2009. Mr. Klimanov was also appointed as a director to the Board and assumed the Investor Relation role at High River in September 2009. Mr. Klimanov previously worked at Petrograins Enterprises Ltd., a Moscow-based consulting company specializing in Russian oil upstream projects. Mr. Klimanov holds a PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, and an Engineering Physics degree from the Moscow Engineering and Physics Institute.

 
Andrei Maslov - Chief Financial Officer

Mr Maslov is Investment Controller at Severstal-Gold and Director of High River. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer of High River in July 2009. Mr. Maslov was Treasurer of High River since February 2009. Previously, he held the position of Financial Controller with Ascometal, a Severstal Group subsidiary in France specializing in production of rolled metal products, and worked as an analyst with the consulting firm Gibov, Emelianov I Partnery in Moscow. Mr. Maslov holds a degree in International Financial Relations from Moscow State University of International Affaires and is fluent in French, Italian, English and Russian.

 
Edward O. Villeneuve - Vice President Health, Safety and Environment

Mr. Villeneuve was appointed Vice President Health, Safety and Environment in January 2008. Mr. Villeneuve has worked in the health, safety and environment area of the mining industry for more that 35 years. During this period he has provided leadership in the development and implementation of various new environment, health and safety programmes and activities with Noranda Inc., Falconbridge Ltd. and, most recently, as Manager of Health and Safety with Xstrata Copper Canada. Mr. Villeneuve is a graduate of the University of Ottawa with a B.Sc. degree in Biology in 1972. Throughout his career, he has served on many Technical Committees and Associations with mandates to establish auditing standards and ISO specification standards, including serving as President of the Quebec Industrial Hygiene Association and Chair of the American Industrial Hygiene Conference in Montreal. He has organized numerous conferences and delivered several papers on topics related to industrial hygiene, environmental management, environmental auditing and safety.

Alexey Burkser - General Director of OJSC Buryatzoloto

Mr. Burkser was appointed General Director of OJSC Buryatzoloto in November 2009. He brings to High River over 33 years of experience in the mining industry. Prior to joining High River at Buryatzoloto, he worked as mine manager at Novaiysk gold mine, Uzbekistan. During his career he held various operating and supervisory roles at uranium and gold mines. He graduated from Moscow Geological Prospecting Institute (MGRI).

 
Mine Management:


 
Marco Kelly - General Manager of Somita SA

Mr. Kelly joined High River at the Taparko Mine in 2005 where he has held positions as Mine Superintendent, Mine Manager, and most recently, General Manager. Prior to joining High River, he held various operating and supervisory roles at mines in Quebec, Canada, with MSV Resources, Ross Finlay, and Quebec Cartier Mining; and in Mali, West Africa, with DTP Terrassement, a division of Bouyges. He is a graduate of the Mining Technology course at the CEGEP de L'Abitibi Temiscamingue.

 
Alex I. Krasavin - General Director of OOO Berezitovy Rudnik LLS

Mr. Krasavin was appointed General Director of OOO Berezitovy Rudnik LLS in January 2005. He brings to High River over 22 years of experience in the mining industry working in Southern Russia. Prior to joining High River, he worked for the Solonechny Mine, located west of High River's Berezitovy project. During his career, Mr. Krasavin has held progressively senior management positions at OJSC Buryatzoloto as Personnel Manager, Department Head for Environmental Issues - Health & Safety, Deputy General, and most recently Mine Director. In 1998, Mr. Krasavin played a significant role in commissioning the CIP processing plant at the Zun-Holba mine, one of two mines owned and operated by High River's Russian subsidiary, OJSC Buryatzoloto.
